One sunny morning, Mr. Bear woke up with a big yawn. He felt his tummy rumble and said, "Oh no! I’m so hungry! Where's my honey?" He rushed to the cupboard but saw it was empty. "I must find honey!" he declared with determination and walked into the bright, lush forest. As he strolled along, he caught a whiff of something sweet in the air—honey! He looked up and spotted a beehive high in a tall tree.
Mr. Bear couldn’t wait any longer! He stretched out his big paw to grab the sweet honey, but suddenly, a buzzing bee flew out angrily. "Hey, Bear! This is MY honey! Buzz off!" Mr. Bear frowned, "I’m bigger and stronger than you! I’ll do what I want!" Ignoring the warning, he reached for the honey again. But ZING! That pesky bee stung him right on the nose! "Ouch! You’ll pay for that!" he growled, but the bee just darted back in, laughing.
Mr. Bear rubbed his nose and sat down on a soft patch of grass, thinking hard. "I must find a way to get some honey without getting stung again," he murmured. Just then, he remembered his friend, Miss Squirrel, who was clever and quick. "I'll ask Miss Squirrel for help!" he decided and trotted off to find her.
Miss Squirrel was busy gathering acorns when Mr. Bear explained his honey trouble. "Oh, Mr. Bear!" she chuckled, "You shouldn't just take things without asking. Let's make a deal with the bees instead." Together, they gathered some pretty flowers and berries to offer in exchange for the honey.
When they arrived back at the beehive, Mr. Bear called out, "Dear Bees, I have some lovely flowers and berries for you! Could we share some honey?" The bees buzzed happily and agreed. Mr. Bear was delighted as he finally tasted the sweet honey, and he learned an important lesson about sharing and asking nicely.
