Sophie and Ben's Fire Adventure

One sunny day, Sophie and Ben were playing outside. "Look at this!" Sophie said with a big smile, holding a lighter. "Wow! What does this do?" Ben asked, his eyes wide with curiosity. "Let’s find out!" Sophie giggled. They both watched as Sophie flicked the lighter, and a tiny flame danced before them. It was exciting, but suddenly, Ben's shirt got too close to the flame!

The fire quickly flickered and caught Ben's shirt. "Aah! My shirt!" he yelled, jumping back in surprise. Sophie felt scared too. "Oh no, Ben! We need to put it out!" She quickly grabbed a nearby rug and pressed it against the flames. Just like that, they learned a big lesson about fire. They promised to be careful and to never play with fire again.

After the fire was out, Mrs. Thompson, their neighbor, came over quickly when she heard the commotion. "Is everything okay, kids?" she asked with a kind smile. Sophie and Ben nodded, but they looked down at the ground, feeling a bit embarrassed. "We learned our lesson," Ben said quietly. Mrs. Thompson patted Ben's shoulder. "I'm glad you're safe. Remember, fire can be very dangerous, so it's good to be careful!"

Later that day, Sophie's mom gathered them for a special lesson. She showed them how to 'Stop, Drop, and Roll' in case their clothes ever caught on fire again. Sophie and Ben practiced together, rolling around on the grass and giggling. "It's kind of fun to roll like this," Sophie laughed. "Yes, but it's also important!" her mom reminded them, giving each of them a hug.

That evening, as the sun set and the stars twinkled above, Sophie and Ben sat on the porch with warm cocoa. "I'm glad we learned about fire safety," Ben said, sipping from his mug. Sophie nodded, feeling grateful too. "Adventures are fun, but being safe is the best," she said wisely. They both agreed that tomorrow, they would find a new, safer adventure to enjoy together.
