The Weather of Emotions

One sunny day, a young girl named Mia sat under a big tree. "Why do I feel so sad?" she wondered aloud. A wise squirrel nearby perked up and replied, "Emotions are like the weather, Mia! Sometimes it's sunny, and sometimes it's rainy!" Mia looked up, puzzled. "So, it's okay to feel sad?" The squirrel nodded, "Yes! Just let it rain for a while."

Mia watched the clouds drift across the sky. "I wish I was happy all the time!" she sighed. The squirrel scampered down and said, "You can’t have a rainbow without some rain! After the rain, the colors shine bright!" Mia smiled, thinking of all the happy times. Suddenly, a gentle shower fell, and she danced in the drops, feeling lighter. "Thank you, Mr. Squirrel!" she giggled, realizing that just like the weather, her feelings would change too.

As Mia twirled in the rain, her friend Lily came by with her yellow umbrella. "Why are you dancing in the rain?" Lily asked with a giggle. "I'm learning that it's okay to feel sad," Mia explained, "because after the rain, there might be a rainbow!" Lily smiled and joined in, splashing in the puddles with Mia.

Soon, the rain stopped, and the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. "Look, Mia! A rainbow!" Lily pointed excitedly to the sky. Mia's eyes widened with wonder as she saw the colorful arc stretch across the sky. "See, Mia!" Mr. Squirrel chattered happily, "Every feeling has its own beautiful color, just like the rainbow!"

Mia nodded, feeling warm inside. "Thank you, Mr. Squirrel, for teaching me about the weather of emotions," she said gratefully. The squirrel twitched his bushy tail and scampered back up the tree. Hand in hand, Mia and Lily skipped home, knowing that whether it was rainy or sunny, they would always have each other.
